Yes, I'm still here

Though for awhile it was barely. We had an unusual amount of family crisis in our life during the first part of 2009. So much so that I actually took a time out from working to try and get our life in order and find a little balance. One of those issues was my 11 month old at the time breaking her arm.

Here she is in all her pink cast glory. Doesn't look so bad in this picture but I can tell you it was a rough 6 weeks.

She celebrated her first birthday with it. So sad.... again, she doesn't look sad but don't let her fool you, I didn't post all the crying pictures. :)

Anyway, I'm back and didn't want to leave my blog like I was NEVER going to post again because I am and I do have lots to post about.

If you haven't seen your pictures on the blog stay tuned because even at 6 months old they may go up. Also, I wanted to let everyone know that I'm starting to offer digital collections. I have had so many people recently want their pictures so they can post on Facebook or their blog and buying the images for digital use is the way to do that plus there isn't as much pressure to decide right away on what sizes you want. You can buy the images and print at your leisure.

Stay tuned, I haven't forgotten the blog and will be back.

Slowly but surely

Well I'm working on getting better at blogging. I didn't make promises right? :)

This is the reason I tell mama's to bring their babies in while they are sitting and not crawling. You've seen sweet Hailey before. She is in my baby club so this was her sitting session and I do have to say it was one of the easiest sessions I've had in a long time. Not that I don't love every session and every baby but sitting and not crawling in the best age because they are generally pretty happy and it doesn't require as much work for mom picking her up and putting her back in front of the camera.

This sweet girl had so many expressions, mostly happy it was hard to choose just a few.

Check out the pouty face. I love it!

I've learned that the best part about having a girl is the outfit changes.

You will see Hailey again soon because she's coming in for 1 year pictures this month. Where has the past year gone?!?!

Has it really been that long?

Oh yeah it has! Sorry! Sometimes I just feel like no one looks at my photography blog so it tends to get neglected plus there has been a lot going on in the Crafton house. As a quick update if you really wonder where I've been.... My husband had ACL reconstructive knee surgery that knocked him out for a week in mid-November and then we had a houseful of people for a week right after that. We turned around and it was Thanksgiving which then put us in full swing for the holidays. Whew! We finally survived that including traveling to Alabama with our 3 kids in tow. Got home on a Saturday and my wonderful grandmother at the well-lived age of 90 passed away Sunday morning. That meant traveling for a funeral. We still hadn't celebrated Christmas with my side of the family so we did that last weekend. Since then I've been dealing with runny noses and asthma issues which started Monday and here we are.

I thought things would slow down but I've decided that with three children and a part-time business it doesn't. So, as I'm catching up on everything these days I'll be catching up on the blog as well. I'm starting WAY back and going back to the twins who came for their second birthday pictures.

I love these girls and can't belive how much they changed but still stayed the same.
Here's Ainsley - the best part about this picture is knowing what she did when we put the soft rug on the floor. She rolled all over it posing for pictures in between like a playboy bunny. It was hilarious.
Here's Addison- We had smiling pictures of her but I LOVED this one. Those big blue eyes and serious expression holding her doll. Come to think of it this is the face she gives me a lot. I don't blame her - there's a crazy woman holding a camera in her face.
What sweet sisters

Of course we finally got them laughing standing on my step stool right before they went home. The bubbles and snacks before that wouldn't work. Oh well, better late than never.

So stay tuned for more catch up blogs I won't promise every day but I will try more often for sure.

A little more info

Here is a little more information about the Christmas Sessions. I know it's crazy to think about Christmas in October but I am booked for the rest of the season so it's now or never. :)

The Christmas Set

I know there have been many of you asking about mini sessions. I am doing them a little different this year but am way behind doing this so thought I'd give you a peak of the set now so you can be thinking about what you'd like to wear.

Here is my Channing girl at 6 months old. I think this set could go dressy or casual. Either way,
it's simple and classic.

Just to get an idea, mini sessions will last around 30 minutes and will have a minimum order of $200. It seems like last year most people wanted these sessions for Christmas cards and Christmas gifts and we should get that accomplished in half an hour. Print prices will be slightly discounted and a large selection of cards will be offered to choose from.
If you are interested email me at stacia@staciacrafton.com.
