A day of firsts

Saturday was a day of firsts for me. I did my first maternity session and my first engagement session. I'm having the hardest time deciding which ones are my favorite from these sessions. I LOVE taking pictures of babies and children but there sure is something to be said for subjects who stay still and listen to suggestions.

Like I said I'm having a hard time narrowing it down but hey, it's my blog, I guess I can post as many as I want. This is Megan and Michael's engagement session. Don't you just want to draw a heart around their faces in this first picture. So cute! It's been a long time since Stefan and I were that lovey dovey.

Here are few from the maternity session. This is baby #3 for this family. It's good to know that we aren't the only crazy ones out there having 3 children.
This is little Dania. She cracked me up because mostly she did NOT want Mommy's tummy exposed. She kept trying to pull down her shirt

Big brother Lucas was about the same. I think Daddy had to fly him over the belly in order for him to get close enough to get in a picture

Stay tuned - Valentine mini sessions

I am working on a set for Valentine mini sessions at the moment but wanted to give everyone a heads up. (The set will look similar to the one below.) The mini sessions are going to be short 15 minute sessions where we will proof about 10 pictures on the spot for you to choose from. The cost is $20 per child which includes a gift print of your choice (5x7 or smaller). I will also be selling Valentine photo cards. It's a fun way to send a surprise picture to someone.

Storyboards like the ones shown below will be at a discounted price of $60. The date for the mini sessions is January 26th. If you already know you want one of these sessions, send me an email (staciacrafton@gmail.com) and I'll put you down for a time. Right now I'm only going to book between the hours of 10-2 with more sessions added if need be. Hope to hear from you and see all those fun Valentine's outfits.

It's a boy!

For all of you who knew Jackson's parents before Jackson came along you thought they were having a girl. Turns out after 3 sonograms where the Dr. had predicted they were having a girl Jackson arrived. As a mom expecting her first little girl, this makes me VERY nervous.

Anyway, here are a few of my favorites from this sweet boy's session. Jackson is already 4 weeks old and if you wonder why I have newborn's in during the first 2 weeks this is the reason. This little man did NOT want to go to sleep and was movin' and groovin' most of the time he was in the studio but that didn't stop us from getting some good ones of him.

New Year, new look

I know I'm a horrible blogger. For those of you who haven't been to see me in awhile or don't know me I have a good excuse. Baby #3 is making her debut in late March so life is getting busier. With two boys in the house, I have clothes to buy and rooms to decorate. Let's blame it on that shall we? :)

A couple of things to note: First of all, if you are a regular blog checker you'll notice that I'm changing things up a little bit. We're going for a new look this year and I'm working on a new website but that may not come for a little while still.

Also, I've raised my prices this year. Don't worry, if I already have you on the schedule for 2008 you are on the old price sheet. I just realized that I love photographing your children but it does take me away from my family and as much time as I spend with you and on the computer after you leave it needs to be worth my time. Hey, who would have thought my time was worth something? I guess being a mom sometimes teaches you otherwise. :)

Since I'm hoping baby already mentioned will be here sometime in mid March rather than late March, beware. (How's that for a threat?) If you want to get in before the summer or have birthday's or big milestone moments occuring before then you'll want to contact me soon. I don't have a set date to come back yet and if you are in my Baby Club, don't worry, we'll get you in but for everyone else we probably want to set a date.

I guess that's about it. Looking forward to seeing how all those little ones have grown this year.
